Mrs. Sandra Whitfield, age 68, of Gillsville, GA died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Whitfield was born in Buford to the late Richard and Betty Turpin Wilson. She was a member of Word of Life and retired from Tri-Bio Labs. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whitfield was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Whitfield; and son, Chad Burnett.
Mrs. Whitfield is survived by her son, Chris Burnett of Gillsville; daughter, Tonya McClure (Shawn) of Gillsville; sister, Teresa Lynn Chambers (Jason) of Chestnut Mountain; grandchildren, Blake Burnett (Chelsie), Tucker McClure and Bella McClure; and a niece, Madison Chambers.
Memorial services will be at 2 PM, Friday, January 14 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Nation officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM on Friday.
