Martha Virginia Waters

Martha Virginia Waters, 87 of Murrayville, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022.  She was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Simon Leroy Hargraves and Ollie Virginia Hesters.  She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Dahlonega, GA.  Martha loved to cook and spend time with her family.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Carol Ephraim Waters, Sr.; sisters, Barbara Waters, Betty Rigdon; and great grandson, Jacob DeWitt.

She is survived by her children, Dennis and Mary Tyson of Sparta, MI, Peggy and Terry Richardson of Newark, OH, Carol, Jr and Angela Waters of Murrayville, GA; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and David McPherson of Alabama. 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel, Dawsonville, GA. with the Rev. Mark Biddy officiating.  Interment will follow in Macclenny, FL at a later date. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 until service time.
