Freddie Ezell Stephens

Freddie Ezell Stephens departed of this life on Thursday, January 13, 2022, after a brief illness. Ezell or “Easy” as many called him was born March 2, 1943, in Morgan County Buckhead Georgia. He graduated from Fair Street School Class of 1961. He was employed by Whitmoyer Ind., Ploor Trucking Company of Smyrna, Ga. Ezell retired from Cargill after many years. He traveled many places with Janet after his retired. Ezell is survived by his wife of 55 years Mrs. Janet Maxey Stephens, his devoted daughter Camille Stephens, one devoted brother Larry (Gloria) Thomas who was always there whenever he needed him. One nephew Larry (Nikki) Thomas Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, four nieces Rene, Sonya, Trevia, and Kecia Thomas, three cousins Jesse Harris, Carolyne Denise Hester and Christopher Joe Hester and numerous family and friends. Ezell is preceded in death by his mother Mrs. Ida Mae Thomas, his father Ulysses Stephens, two brothers Alvin and Kenneth Thomas. The visitation will be held Thursday, January 20th between the hours of 12-8pm at Wimberly Funeral Home. Mr. Stephens' Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 21st at the hour of 11am at Wimberly Funeral Home. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
