Vernon A. Huff, Sr.

Vernon A Huff, Sr., age 87, of Auburn, Ga, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorie and Floy Huff; sisters, Louise Huff Burdette, Jeanette Huff Jenkins and Evelyn Huff.  Mr. Huff is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Smith Huff of Auburn, Ga; children, Leigh Anne Huff of Auburn, GA, Vernon Andrew “Andy” Huff, Jr. (Michele) of Atlanta, GA, Melanie Johnson (Brad) of Florida; grandchildren, Lily Youngli Huff, Stephanie Harbin (Drew), Michael Coxwell (Whitney); 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter Harbin, Cole Harbin; nieces, Sara Burdett Reed of Buford, GA, Mary Ann Burdett Haney of Buford, GA; brother-in-law, Charlie Jenkins of Buford, GA and other relatives.  Mr. Huff was born on May 5 1935 in Lilburn, GA.  He graduated from South Cobb High School in 1953 and was a 1962 graduate of Georgia State College in Atlanta.  Mr. Huff served in the United States Army for 6 years.  He was a retired printing salesman and enjoyed fishing and playing softball.  Mr. Huff attended Zion Hill Baptist Church in Buford, GA.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Newbern officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in memory of Vernon Huff.
