Mary Leilani Effler Effler

Mrs. Mary Leilani Effler, 67, of Bryson City, NC, formerly of Gainesville passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Harris Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Joey Yeary will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 and on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on July 2, 1954 in Santa Rosa, CA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Lee and Gussie Mary Smith Ivie. She was a housewife and a member of East View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Effler was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Dewitt.

Mrs. Effler is survived by her husband of 51 years, Danny Effler of Bryson City, NC; daughter, Amy Effler of Bryson City, NC; granddaughter, Danielle Demonbreun of Bryson City, NC; brother and sister in law, Bobby and Sofia Dewitt of CA; brother, Ken Whacker of HI; sister and brother in law, Dana and Rev. Joey Yeary of Flowery Branch and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
