Danny Neal

Danny Neal, 69, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his residence.

Born February 2, 1953 to the late Rainey H., Sr. and Nora Neal, he was a native of Dawson County but lived in Hall County most of his life.  Danny was a graduate of Dawson County High School and North Georgia College.  He retired as an elementary and middle school teacher in the Hall County School System following over 40 years of service.  He also served as a basketball coach.  Danny was an accomplished guitarist, was an avid Georgia Tech fan, and a supporter of Eagle Ranch.  Also preceding him in death are his sister, Joyce Neal; and sister and brother in law, Kathy and Thomas Mote.

Surviving are his sister and brother in law, Judy and Carroll Walls, Dawsonville; brother and sister in law, Rainey H., Jr. and Rosalyn Neal, Flowery Branch; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 2 until 4 at Bearden Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danny’s memory to Eagle Ranch, P. O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA  30502.
