J.W. Strickland

Mr. J.W. Strickland, age 81, of Commerce, GA died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at his residence.  Mr. Strickland was born in Danielsville to the late James W. and Emma Dale McElreath Strickland.  He was a retired plumber.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Ann Strickland.

Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Hilda Mae Hart Strickland of Commerce; son, Ricky Strickland of Commerce; daughters, Audrey Strickland of Commerce and Carol Domain of Danielsville; brothers, Herbert Strickland and George Strickland both of Danielsville; sisters, Ada Dale Clark of Commerce, Gennie Helms and Lucy Seagraves both of Danielsville, Linda Witcher of Colbert and Ruby Cox of Hull; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, February 22 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Bray officiating.  Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from noon until 2 PM.
