James “Alan” Farmer, age 71 of Homer, GA passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022.
Born on April 17, 1950 in Dekalb County, GA, Mr. Farmer was the son of the late Thomas Verlin Farmer and Jeanette Cape Suggs. He was a self-employed farmer, a member of Stone Mountain Lodge No. 449 F. & A. M., and was preceded in death by a his first wife, Linda Ann Elliott Farmer, and a brother, Phillip Anthony Farmer.
Survivors include his spouse, Pat Gardiner of the home; son, William (Brittney) Reems, Lula; daughter, Jill Gardiner; Valorie (John) Summer, Buford; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Boswell officiating. Burial will follow at Nails Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.
