Mrs. Edna Loretta (Johnson) Crisp, age 90, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Monday, February 28, 2022 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Brookstone Church 3681 Cleveland Highway Gainesville, Georgia, 30506. Reverend Pierce Ashmore and Reverend Stanley Mize will officiate.
Mrs. Crisp was born January 8, 1932 in Gainesville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Paul Burton Johnson and Irene (Hulsey) Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Thad Crisp; brother, Carmon Johnson; sisters, Jeanette Butler, Sue Ashmore, Glenda Kerby and Brenda Kelly. Edna was retired from AT&T as an accomplished telephone operator. She loved tending to her rose garden and had a deep love for traditional gospel music. She was a devout Christian and a loving mother.
Mrs. Crisp is survived by her children, Andrea Crisp Tankersley (Jeff), David Crisp (Celo); daughter, Nancy Crisp Reese (Lee Morgan Reese, III); grandchildren, Steven Andrew Tankersley, Christopher Adam Tankersley, Morgan Reese, Hannah Elizabeth Crisp, Wyatt Johnson Reese; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Jo Jackson and a number of other family and friends also survive.
