Paula Fry Elmore age 70, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on March 4, 2022 at her home. She was born in Atlanta, GA to Boyd & Pauline Fry and was raised in Decatur Georgia. While growing up she was an active member of Druid Hills Baptist Church.
Paula attended Druid Hills High School then furthering her education and receiving her Undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. She then went on to obtain her Graduate degrees at both UGA and Georgia State. After graduating Paula taught in Australia, New Zealand, and even Saudi Arabia. She then retired from a teaching career working with gifted students at Fulton and Cobb Counties. Paula loved to teach and her passion and dedication were recognized by her being named one of Fulton County’s Teacher of the year.
Paula is survived by her high school and college sweetheart and now husband of 49 years, Frank Elmore. They have been married since 1973 and spent their free time doing lots of traveling.
Although the last 25 years as she faced challenges that prevented her from doing many things that she loved, she has always kept her faith in Christ. Paula will be greatly missed by all that knew her and especially those she had made an impact on through teaching.
