Mrs. Anna Mae Parsley, age 70, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Ann was born in Atlanta on September 22, 1951, to the late Ernest and Mae Free Edmondson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Lane Whitmire and Graham Whitmire. Ann had retired as a secretary for the Clayton County School System. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Ann and her husband Jack spent their retired years driving many miles to yard sales and thrift stores; they enjoyed finding many treasures and “finds.” Ann could find value in almost anything. Words to portray Ann are courageous, generous, and encourager; while all these words depict her, her most significant attribute is her love for Jesus. Ann had a contagious personality and an unwavering faith in her Lord. She was a faithful member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. Ann will greatly be missed.
Missing her most will be her loving and faithful husband, of forty-three years, Jack Parsley, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law Tim and Anne Senft, Birmingham, AL; son and daughter-in-law David and Adrienne, Charlottesville, VA; daughter Jan Marie Parsley, Hollis, TX; grandchildren McKenzie Card, Michaela Senft, Sarah Senft, Aidan Parsley, Brendan Parsley, Claire Parsley; great-grandchildren Caleb Card, Ada Sinclair Card; sister Ernestine Heard, Sharpsburg, GA; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Chattahoochee Baptist Church. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to The Gideons International to buy bibles in Ann’s memory.
