Johnny Reed Young

Mr. Johnny Reed Young was born to the late Eula Lee Bennett Young and the late Roosevelt Young on September 16, 1937. He passed away on April 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Ann Young, son, Curtis D. Young; sisters, Wynell Brooks, Yvonne Young, and Henrietta Carter; brothers, Bobby Young, Steven N. Young, James L. Young, Ricky J. Young, and Landry Young.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memories to his daughters, Dianne Brawner, Patricia Jackson, Robin Carter, and Brenda Earley, all of Gainesville, GA; sons, Johnny Young, Jr. of San Marcos, Texas, Ronnie Young, Gary Young, and Joey Young, all of Gainesville, GA, Tim Carter and Richard Carter, all of Gwinnett County, GA; sister, Alice Joyce Peppers, Hoschton, GA; brother Larry Young, Buford, GA; longtime companion, Mary H. Young; grandchildren, Christopher Young, Elijah Young, Devonte Young, all of Dahlonega, GA, Betty Shawnta A. Young, Tacha Jackson, Nesha Young, Kenji Reed Young, and Tyler Lee Young, all of Gainesville, GA, Victoria Young, Dexter Jackson all of Flowery Branch, GA, Naaman Young and Johntez Young, all of San Marcos,  Texas, Lakaysha Brawner of Athens, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC in The Rev. Charlie, Jr. and Conchita Sims Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 2pm-6pm.
