Edward Wayne Gardner

Mr. Edward Wayne Gardiner, age 81 of Commerce passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Gardiner was born in Commerce to the late, Edward Junior and Geraldine Bennett Gardiner.  Mr. Gardiner was a retired auto mechanic, he was a member of the N.R.A., he was an avid Nascar Cup Fan, and loved hunting.

Mr. Gardiner is survived by his sister, Shelby Scarborough of Commerce; nieces, Shera Donna Tyner and Penny Nunn of Commerce; great nephew, Chris Tucker (Tonya) of Homer; great niece, Asia Scoggins of Maysville; nine great great nieces and nephews; and a great great great niece and nephew.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 3^rd at 3 PM from Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Mark Mitton officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-2 PM.
