Johnny Wesley Jackson

Mr. Johnny Wesley Jackson, 80, of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Loy Roper and Jimmy Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Center Gove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, May 17th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on January 23, 1942 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late John Wesley (JW) Jackson and the late Mildred Eugina Burrell Jackson. He was a truck driver for Mar-Jac. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Virginia Smith Jackson.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his daughter, Joye Brown of Oakwood; daughters and sons in law, Janna and George Nation of Clarkesville, Sharron and Jimmy Baker of Lula, Johnnie Sue and Jason Pittman of Gainesville, Tammy and Richie Grier of Lula; son and daughter in law, Roger and Amber Jackson of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, LaShay and Phillip Nix of Gainesville; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Barbara Shuler of Gainesville and a number of other loving relatives.
