Mr. Tracy Alan Smith, 57, of Gainesville passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, following an extended illness
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Randolph O. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on February 9, 1965 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Jack Smith and the late Elaine Griffin Smith. Mr. Smith attended East Hall High School. He loved fast cars, 18 wheelers, music and building car stereos. He loved to fish and work on model cars, and he loved being a truck driver. Mr. Smith was retired from Lawayne Farmer Trucking.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Todd Smith; grandson, Jacoby Alan Towler; grandparents, Annie Lee and J.D. Griffin and Lillian and Levi Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Kasey Amber Smith and fiancé, Scott Hall of Gainesville; grandchildren, Kyree, Kylan and Jachai Towler; sister and brother in law, Lisa and Jeff Purcell of Flowery Branch; nieces and nephews, Cody and Ari Reed of Cleveland, Ashleigh and Josh Spruill of Bethlehem, Cameron Purcell of Flowery Branch; girlfriend, Kimberly Charles of Clarkesville and faithful companion, Riley “Good Dog” and a favorite sister/cousin, Ginger Daniel and a number of other loving relatives.
