H. Gerald Cochran

H. Gerald Cochran died June 4, 2022, following a brief illness.

Born September 24, 1943, Gerald grew up on his family’s farm in the Sardis community of Hall County. He was the second-oldest of four siblings.

Gerald was a 1961 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville, GA. He loved all sports but especially basketball. After high school, Gerald attended Truett McConnell College in Cleveland, GA. He was well known for his basketball skills.

Gerald was a banker. After a successful career, he retired to Tybee Island, GA. His love of the mountains and the river brought him back to Cleveland, GA where he lived until his death.

Gerald was the son of the late Charlie and Lorena (Hooper) Cochran.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children,  Lori (Steve)Prather of Acworth; Jarrod Cochran of Atlanta; his siblings, Randal (Jean) Cochran of Buford; Sue (Dale)Morris of Cleveland, GA; and Gary (Anne) Cochran of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Drew, Marina, and Cera Prather of Acworth, GA, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and his beloved cats ……

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 10, 2022 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
