William Donald "Donnie" Whigham

William Donald (Donnie) Whigham passed away peacefully on the morning of June 12, 2022 with his wife, Lisa, by his side. Donnie and Lisa were married for 48 years and live the last 44 years in Roswell, GA.

Donnie was born and grew up in Pelham, GA. He was an only child with a loving and supportive family who taught him the importance of hard work and helping others.

He moved to Atlanta after school and went to work for Western Electric which later transitioned to AT&T and then Lucent Technologies. He retired after 32 years with the company and embarked on a new career in Medicare insurance sales. Throughout his career he was passionate about the relationships he developed with his friends, co-workers, and clients.  He cared deeply about helping others, and always put others before himself.

His greatest achievement was raising two sons he loved so dearly and was so proud of.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Lisa Lawson Whigham; sons, Matthew Whigham and Mark Whigham; sister in law, Nancy Lawson; beloved uncle, Carol Whigham; and cousins, Ricky Whigham, Kelly Whigham, and Cindy Whigham Sullivan.

A memorial service will be held at Northbrook UMC, Roswell, GA on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 3:00pm
