John Robert Brandon Sr.

Mr. John Robert Brandon, Sr., age 89, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Friday, July 1, 2022 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Brandon was born May 27, 1933 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Robert Reece Brandon and Mary Gordon (Rigler) Brandon. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Helderman Brandon; daughter, Kathryn Barrett; and a brother, Tom Brandon.

John was retired from the State of Georgia and was a member of the Murrayville Masonic Lodge # 30.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Heather Bennett-Brandon; daughters, Suzan Lynn Breedlove (Keith), Ginger Helderman; son, John Robert Brandon, Jr.(Kim); son-in-law, John Barrett, Sr.; step-children, Simon Rivera and Neil Weatherford; grandchildren, Audrey Barrett Odenwalt, John Robert Barrett, Jr., Erin Breedlove Stokey, Erica Breedlove Chitwood and Alex Grizzle; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Stokey, Hayden Stokey, Carson Stokey, Austin Chitwood, Walker Chitwood, Zachary Barrett and Isabelle Barrett and a number of other family and friends also survive.
