Stewart Douglas “Batman” Vinson

Stewart Douglas “Batman” Vinson  was born on October 11, 1950 in Royston, GA to the late Frank Vinson and the late Ruby E. Jones. He was called home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2022. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Lee Jones, Jamie Mark Jones, Grady Thomas, and Debra McGlockling, all of Royston, GA.

Stewart attended the Frankiln County School System. He worked for 25 years for the  Royston Housing Authority, Royston Elementary School, and Ty Cobb Medical Center. He enjoyed spending time with close family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his four children, Clifton (Moria Webb) Turner, Vanessa Vinson Boiter, Kendrick Vinson, and Latoria Vinson; three grandchildren, Daniel J. Boiter, Jayla D. Boiter, and Caleb J. Boiter; one surviving sibling, George M. (Sara) Scott, Sr.; brother-in-law, George McGlockling; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday July 9, 2022 at 1pm at Royston Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday July 8, 2022 from 1-6pm at Dexter T. Sims Mortuary, LLC, in Royston, GA.
