Lexas “Jack” Thompson

Mr. Lexas “Jack” Thompson, age 87, of Sugar Hill, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jane Thompson; son, Jeffery G. Thompson; parents, Dillmer and Zeo Reed Thompson; brothers, Billy Thompson and Mickey Thompson.  Mr. Thompson is survived by daughter, Lisa (Eddie) Long of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Wesley Cooper, Anthony Cooper, Travis Cooper, Audry Long, Corey Thompson, Lacey Thompson, Rebecca Thompson, Alex Thompson; several great grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Payne of Ellijay, GA and Vickie Thompson of Mississippi; brothers, Steve (Beth) Thompson of Buford and Ricky (Linda) Thompson of Demorest, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Thompson was born on January 16, 1935 in Suwanee, GA, and was a graduate of Sugar Hill School in Sugar Hill. He was a veteran of the U S Army and was retired from Lockheed as an aircraft painter after forty years of service. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Level Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 and again on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m.
