Austin Ryan Autry

Obituary Date: Tuesday, August 2, 2022

Austin Ryan Autry, 28, first born son to Chris and Sherry Autry, passed away at 12:13am on August 2, 2022 after a courageous and inspirational journey to recover from a motorcycle accident in 2018.

Ryan was born December 13, 1993 in Gainesville, GA and grew up around his family and amazing friends in Hall County, and resided in Flowery Branch until his passing.  After placing his faith in Jesus Christ, he gained citizenship in heaven and is now a resident there for eternity.

Ryan had 3 siblings - Bart Callahan, Drew Autry, and Olivia Autry, grandparents, Paul and Carla Autry, Sheila Coty and Bud Coty (deceased), uncle, Heath Slaton, aunt, Ashleigh Slaton, cousins, Blakelee Ayers and Broc Slaton, and sister-in-law, Karissa Autry.

Ryan was known for his wit. Often he would sit back and listen to everyone and then jump in with something witty and funny that would crack up the room. His competitive nature was one of his strengths. That strength, along with fierce determination, allowed him to fight to get better so that he could spend a little more time with his family. He had the sweetest grin and most precious spirit that made you just want to be around him. He valued and loved being around family - before his accident and after. He always had a sparkle in his eye when together with his family and close friends - even more so after his accident. Ryan loved video games, cars, and sports.  He loved worship music, listening to the bible, good preaching, and his Gramps’ Bible study.  He loved Bible verses with his Granna, and movies with his Nanny.  Ryan was a beautiful soul.  He gave the BEST Dad hugs and Mama kisses.  He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Memorial Park South Chapel.  Rev Scott Smith will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged in Ryan’s name to FODAC - Friends of Disabled Adults & Children, www.fodac.org
