Stella Mae Brown was born on January 18, 1943 in Memphis Tennessee to the late Marie Harrison and Ed Brown. She departed this life on Wednesday August 3rd, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. She attended Northwestern school in Gainesville, GA after-which, Stella Mae worked many years at Publix until she retired. Being a strong willed and caring woman, she did not remain retired, Stella went back to work as a private home aide for a family and was joyful.
Stella Mae loved to read and study the Bible. She was a faithful longtime member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene in Gainesville, GA.
Stella Mae enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling with her family. She adored and was devoted to her children and family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Lee Harrison; sisters, Dorothy Harrison and Linda (Richard) Ross; grandchildren, Sukiyaka Waters, Shareka Cantrell and Shareka Nicely
She leaves to cherish her memory: aunt, Rose Blake of Augusta, GA; sister, Elaine (Joseph) Ware; children, Richard (Debra) Brown, Teresa Cantrell, Kimberly Brown, Tawana Brown, Stephanie Nicely; grandchildren, Neko (Keyba) Brown, Greylin GJ Cheek, Shauntavius Montgomery, Tylor Brown, April Brown and Trevion Brown, all from Gainesville, GA; a host of other family members including cousins, nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and friends. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 9th at 12 noon at Bethel Church of Nazarene. Ms. Brown's Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at the hour of 2pm at Bethel Church of Nazarene. Professional Service Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
