Barbara Ann Hutchins Maddox, age 84, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. She was preceded by her husband of fifty-five years, John Henry Maddox; parents, Arby “Hutch” and Octavia “Tao” Wiley Hutchins; brother, William “Billy” Hutchings; and sister, Sara Hutchins Buice. Mrs. Maddox is survived by her children, Tracy and Fran Maddox of Sugar Hill, GA and Kristen Mabrey and Jason Tindell of Lula, GA; grandchildren, Kenneth Maddox of Cumming, GA, Miranda and Winston Tennant of Cumming, GA, and Kaci and Bryan Barton of Conroe, TX; and four great grandchildren; brother, Donnie and Opal Hutchins of Ellijay, GA; sister, Marie Hutchins-Thornhill of Buford; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara was born on September 24, 1937, and was a graduate of Buford High School in Buford, GA. She was a beautician and later became a seamstress, eventually retiring in 1991 from The Lovable Company in Buford after ten years of service. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Pratt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.
