Marita Sladek Flickinger, 70, of Buford, GA passed away Friday, September 2, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Flickinger; mother, Reinhilde Brooks; father, Herbert Sladek; and step father, Arley Brooks, Jr. Mrs. Flickinger is survived by her children, Michael (Dianne) Flickinger of Sugar Hill, GA; and Jason (Kyle) Flickinger of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Isabella and Kayta Flickinger; sisters, Sylvia Seifried, Michaela (Chet) Geiser, and Tina (Brian Luhring) Cunningham all of Ohio; and brother, Arley (Cheryl) Brooks III of Ohio. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Marita was born April 13, 1952 in Mainz, Germany, and was a 1969 graduate of Orrville High School in Orrville, Ohio. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed camping on Lake Lanier, where she suddenly passed. No formal services are scheduled at this time.
