Mrs. Ruby Lee Baker Cagle, 83, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Griffin and Rev. Bobby Ivester will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born September 7, 1939 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Wiley Baker and the late Willie Belle Ferguson Baker. She was retired from Wrigley, where she was employed for 26 years. She loved her family with all her heart – but more importantly, she loved the Lord. Mrs. Cagle was a member of New Haven Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Baker, John Henry Baker, James Billy Baker and Claude Baker.
Mrs. Cagle is survived by her husband of 64 years, Philip Cagle of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Randall and Dr. Diane Cagle of Gainesville; grandson and wife, Andy and Katie Cagle of Soperton, GA, granddaughter, Brittany Kenny of Cleveland, GA, granddaughter and husband, Courtney and Jon Anders of Shelby, NC, grandson and wife, Christopher and Tabitha Hasty of Shelby, NC, granddaughter and husband, Kaylyn Petty and Alex Hall of Ball Ground, GA, grandson, D.J. Petty of Cartersville, GA; four great grandchildren; brother, Rev. George Clinton Baker of Lula, GA; sister, Jonell Pirkle of Gainesville, GA; sisters in law, Louise Baker of Oakwood, GA, Trudy Baker of Blairsville, GA and a number of other loving relatives.
