Mr. Patrick (Pat) McDonald Taylor, 67, of Oakwood, passed away September 23, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Reardon will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, September 26, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Born on April 27, 1955 in Rome, GA, he was the son of the late Thomas Erskin Taylor, Jr., and the late Nelle Patrick Holloway Taylor. He was retired from Curt’s Restaurant where he worked in management.
Patrick Taylor was one of the biggest people pleasing, fish loving, NASCAR watching, greatest men alive. He never met a stranger and always made it known how much he loved and how proud he was of his 2 kids and 2 grandkids. He fought long and hard but never failed to have a smile on his face.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter, Hannah Taylor (Gavin Gunter) of Gainesville; son, Justin Thomas (Heather Cronic) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Addison Ramsey, Skye Gunter; best friend, Anne Albertson of Gainesville; brothers and sisters in law, Charles Thomas Taylor and Teresa of Rome, David Livingston Taylor and Denise of Rome, Robert Dudley Taylor of Rome; a number of nieces and nephews; best friend, William Nix of Gainesville and a number of other loving relatives.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Justin, Gavin, Mason, Michael, Carson and Terry.
