Rondal Eugene "Ronnie" Lingerfelt

Rondal Eugene “Ronnie” Lingerfelt, age 71 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. He was born on July 3, 1951 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late James Lingerfelt and the late Mildred Maness Lingerfelt. Ronnie was a loving husband, father, and “papa”. He loved listening to music, shopping, telling jokes and going to flea markets. Anytime he was around his grandchildren, they all had the best time. 

Ronnie had a special place in his heart for his granddaughter Haley, who he helped raise. She will forever remember their trips to school and to Taco Bell. Once grown, Haley moved to Indiana but the distance between them did not matter. They kept up through Facetime and phone calls. Ronnie would always keep her and her mother, Melena in the loop on when to change their clocks, as well as keeping them aware of the non-major holidays. He will forever be missed by his loving family. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lillie Mae Patterson; siblings, Jimmy Lingerfelt, Peggy Farmer, Brenda Porter and Linda Seay.

He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Katherine “Patsy” Seabolt Lingerfelt of Dahlonega; children, Kimberley Gooch Wade, Chad Gooch, Willis Ridley, Joey Gooch, Rodney (Connie) Gooch, and Melena Gooch (Chokri Ouerghi); grandchildren, Haley Emmons, Dustin Gooch, Blake Gooch, Bradley Gooch, Hanna Gooch, Catelyn Gooch, Joshua Gooch, Cherika Gooch, Austin Gooch and Natasha Lingerfelt; great grandchildren, Journey Rose Gooch and Ava Gooch; nieces, Tammy (Randy) Peters and Diane (Jeff) Murray; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Henley Seabolt, Regina Seabolt, Katie and Dean Davis, Kendall and Debbie Seabolt, Tena Lowman, Gladys Rider, as well as Susie and Shawn McCune. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Murray and Rev. Andy Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery of Cane Creek Baptist Church in Dahlonega. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Friday, September 30, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the service time.
