S. Michelle Gilliam

Obituary Date: Wednesday, September 28, 2022

S. Michelle Gilliam, 57 of Colbert, Ga passed away on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 surrounded by her beloved husband David Gilliam and Daughter Meghan Fain. Michelle was born June 21st, 1965 to the late Robert and Sherrye Raulins. 

Michelle was known for her selflessness, joy in life’s simplest things, and unconditional love for her friends and family. She loved spending time at the beach with her husband, and especially loved watching the sunrises and sunsets there, and everywhere else she was. She enjoyed listening to her favorite music, driving the country roads at her new home, and spending time with her newest grandson. 

Michelle will be remembered her huge heart that made every ordinary moment in life special. She loved to celebrate every occasion with thoughtful gifts and gestures and always brought so much joy to her loved ones with her. 

She is survived by her cherished husband, David Gilliam, her children Craig Gilliam (Jodi), Sarah Burke (Aaron), and Meghan Fain (Austin); her brother Joe Raulins (Rachel); and her grandchildren Alexandra Boyington, Jackson Gilliam, and Hudson Fain. 

A Graveside service for her will be held at Evans Memory Gardens, in Jefferson, Georgia on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 11:30am. After the service a celebration of her life will be held at the home she recently moved to and loved in Colbert, Georgia.
