Wessie Nell Clark 103 passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her Gainesville Home surrounded by her family.
Wessie was born April 17, 1919, in Buford, Georgia to the late Hubard and Olivia Brown.
Wessie attended Summit Hill school where she would attend until she met her husband, John Clark. John and Wessie were married in 1934 and immediately started their family. They were blessed with 12 children. She loved to work in her garden, and she was a proud member and mother First Baptist Church. She worked at Brenau University for 27 years until she retired.
She was a beloved, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, community, volunteer, and Friend.
Wessie is preceded in death by her husband, John Clark, four children Mary, Lula Mae, Paul, and Hilton Clark.
She is survived by her children Joyce, Howard, Frances, John, Charles, Angela, Karen, and Jimmy. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Wessie will always be remembered for her beautiful soul and her fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone she met. Her family will continue to follow in her footsteps.
The visitation for Mrs. Wessie Nell will be Thursday, October 27th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. Mrs. Wessie Nell’s Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 28th at the hour of 1pm at First Baptist Church. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home
