Annie Mae Sherman Rorex

Annie Mae Sherman Rorex, age 80, of Buford, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Arnold; daughter, Bevelyn Sherman; son-in-law, Calvin Brown; parents, Jafus and O’Dell Nuckles Sherman.  Mrs. Rorex is survived by her daughter, Patrice Brown of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Deneatris Cantrell, Shavon Arnold Harrell, Minsler Kenneth Harrell, Christopher (Sierra) Brown, Cameron Sherman, Gretchen Sherman; great-grandchildren, Jarmarcus (Amanda) Cantrell, Hailey Cantrell, Kendric Sherman, Zadarius Cooper, Kallie Sherman, Kali Sherman, Sariah Brown, Chrishixa Brown; great-great-grandchildren, Kamari Jarmarcus, Jr. Aaliyah Cantrell; sisters, Mary Lee Pace and Ruby Nell Sherman both of Buford, GA.  Mrs. Rorex was born on July 4, 1942 in Buford, GA and graduated from Buford High School.  She was retired as a cook for Brookside Assisted Living and was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Buford.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jermaine Styles.  Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2022 at Flanigan Funeral Home.
