Ms. Betty Joyce Adams Hanley, age 91, of Commerce, GA died Friday, November 4, 2022 at Silverleaf Personal Care Home, Athens. Ms. Hanley was born in Hull, GA to the late, Jessie Young and Willie Lindsey Adams. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hanley was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Dee Hanley. She was a longtime member of Freedom Church of God and Danielsville Evangelical Church.
Ms. Hanley is survived by her daughters, Jane Bess of Watkinsville, Diane Nix, Michelle Turner, and Shirley Nix of Commerce; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, November 7 at Danielsville Evangelical Church with Pastor Dwayne Dickerson and Pastor Keith Nix officiation. Interment will follow at Freedom Church of God. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6 on Sunday.
