Perry Anthony Williams

Perry Anthony Williams was born April 3rd, 1956, in Gainesville, GA to Perry and Cleo Williams. Perry departed this life on November 12, 2022.

Perry was a graduate of Gainesville High School’s class of 1974. He continued to be actively involved in the class of 1974 Alumni Organization until his death.

Following high school, Perry received a full scholarship to Atlanta Technical College for Auto Mechanics. He also further his studies later in life at Georgia Perimeter College. Perry was a dedicated employee of Gainesville Parks and Recreation in which he won employee of the quarter on several occasions.

Perry was dedicated to his family. He was the caretaker for his mother for many years. He supported his children, nieces, and nephews in their extracurricular activities and educational studies. Perry looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren. Perry was an excellent cook and was known for bringing his famous collard greens to every family function.

Perry loved watching the Atlanta Falcons, playing lottery, and attending car shows. He could often be found relaxing at the drag races in Atlanta or doing the “dirty bird” during the Falcon’s games. Even during his illness, he made sure he sent representatives to play his lottery numbers.

Perry was preceded in death by his father Perry Williams and his siblings Nancy, Dennis, and Jeffrey.

Perry leaves+ to cherish his memories to his mother, Cleo Williams; children, Perry Williams, Brittany (Leon) Borders, and Amberly Williams; grandchildren Amarrion, Paige, Laila, and Langston; siblings, Sharon, Janice and Charlene; mother of children, Melody; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

There will be a visitation for Mr. Williams Friday, November 18th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. Mr. Williams' Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 12noon at Hillside Chapel. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
