Mr. Clifford Earl “Johnny” Wood, 81, of Pendergrass, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, November 28, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 29th from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour. It is the request of the family that everyone please dress casual and comfortable and to not wear black.
Born on March 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Ralph and Merle Morris Wood. He was retired from Mar-Jac Poultry and a member of Maysville Baptist Church. Mr. Wood was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Wood loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors and his family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his son, Lynn Wood and daughter, Vicky Jean Wood.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Annette Thomas Wood of Pendergrass; daughter, Marie Wood Wright (David) of Jackson Co.; step daughter, Marieca Smith (Timothy) of Pendergrass; stepson, Harold Lee Harris (Marie) of Cornelia; brother James Wood (Sandra) of Gainesville; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
