George Thomas Benson

George Thomas Benson, 78, of Duluth, GA passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022. He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Leah Puyat Benson of Duluth; daughters and sons-in-law, Renea and Kevin Cutchall; Bianca Benson Martin and Blaine Martin; son and daughter-in-law, James and Julie Cespedes; fifteen grandchildren; and grandson, Jesse Cespedes. Mr. Benson was born April 10, 1944 in New Jersey and was a graduate of Sparta High School. He served his country in the United States Navy, was a graduate of Texas Christian University with an Associate Degree, and was a retired Production Manager from Tenneco Packing Company. The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. An inurnment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.
