Charles David Ivey

 

Mr. Charles David Ivey, age 78, of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery.  Rev. Kent Barrett will officiate.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Ivey was born February 25, 1944 to the late Carl & Annie Helton Ivey in Gainesville.  A lifelong resident of Gainesville, he worked for IBEW as an Equipment Operator and was of the Baptist faith. 

Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Annie Ruth Allison Ivey; sons, Shon (Tina) Ivey and Shane (Lisa) Simmons; 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and Jeff (Barbara) Ivey, Jim (Bobbie) Ivey and Leroy (Geneva) Ivey.  He was preceded in death by his children, Terry Ivey and Robin Chandler; parents, brothers, Jerry Ivey and Alan Ivey; and sisters, Hortense Brewer, Joyce Collins and Mildred Smith.
