John Wesley Pierce, age 87, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn Waldron Pierce, Sr.; brothers, George Pierce, Jr., Albert Pierce; sisters, Barbara Echols, Elizabeth Payne, Velma McLaughin. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Etheridge Pierce, Suwanee, GA; son, Randall (Donna) Pierce, Blue Ridge, GA; daughters, Kay (Hugh) Buice, Sugar Hill, GA, Jennifer (Trey) Long, Monroe, GA; 7 grandchildren, Camille (Shawn) Sweeney, Dawsonville, GA, Cory (Angela) Buice, Sugar Hill, GA, Desiree (Levi) Walls, Atlanta, GA, Dana (Noah) Winchester, Bend. Oregon, Todd Buice, Sugar Hill, GA, Tommy Long, Athens, GA, Wesley Long, Statesboro, GA; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, David Pierce, Sr, Suwanee, GA; sister-in-law, Ellen Pierce, Ariton, AL. Mr. Pierce was born on December 4, 1935 in Atlanta, GA. He was a 1953 graduate of Suwanee High School, Suwanee, GA. and retired from Zerox Corporation as a technician after 18 years of service. He was a member of Suwanee First United Methodist Church and he enjoyed woodworking, gardening along with being and avid football fan. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Suwanee First United Methodist Church, 603 Scales Rd., Suwanee, GA 30024 with Chaplain Rev. Larry Haron officiating. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.
