Jeanette Gooch Cruse

Jeannette Gooch Freeman Cruse, age 81, of Buford, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Louise Jones Gooch; daughter, Malinda Stancel; granddaughter, Natalie Stancel and sister, Barbara Gooch.  Mrs. Cruse is survived by her husband of 17 years, Vernard N. Cruse; children, Sharon Freeman Tice, Steve (Denise) Freeman, Chris (Angie) Freeman; step-daughters, Karen Cruse Hunter, Kellie Cruse Brown, Amanda Cruse Smith and their children; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Robbie) Gooch of Buford, GA; aunt, Lucy Jones Hutchins of Buford, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Mrs. Cruse was born on July 14, 1941 in Buford, GA. and graduated from Buford High School.  She was retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Buford, GA.  Mrs. Cruse enjoyed the lake and spending time with her beloved family.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Anderson officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Flanigan Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Jeannette’s church, Temple Baptist Church, 3680 South Bogan Rd., Buford, GA  30519.
