Vivian J. Waier

Vivian J. Waier, age 93, of Cornelia, Georgia formerly of Saginaw, Michigan went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her residence with her daughter by her side.

Mrs. Waier was born May 8, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late George and Marion Soltysiak Schramke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Waier; sister, Aileen Stenglein; and grandson, Cody Waier. Vivian was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Waier was the former owner of The Colonial Inn Restaurant and Bar in Saginaw, MI and was also a homemaker. When she was not spending time focusing on her business, she was tending to her family. Vivian will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Clarkesville, GA.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Waier and Renee Kozlowski, of Sun City Center, FL; daughter, Mary Bender, of Saginaw, MI; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Allen Wyrosdick, of Valley, AL; son, James M. Waier, of Linton, ND; daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and Scott Skinner, of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Sarah Straneiro and her husband, Mark, of Raleigh, NC; Ryan Waier and his wife, Abby, of Tampa Bay, FL; Ashlee Russel and her husband, Ryan, of Kalamazoo, MI; Andrew Wyrosdick and his wife, Niki, of Beulah, AL; Austin Wyrosdick and his wife, Ashley, of Pheonix City, AL; Christopher Waier, of North Dakota; Mary Bess Skinner, Melissa Skinner, Livia Skinner, all of Rome, GA; great-grandchildren, Nolan Straneiro, Viviana Straneiro, Maeve Waier, Van Waier, Weslyn Russel, Rhea Russel, Gibson Russel, Tucker Wyrosdick, Addi Wyrosdick, Waylon Wyrosdick, and Mason Wyrosdick.

No Formal Services are planned at this time. Mrs. Waier will be laid to rest at the St. Andrews Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan.

In honor of Mrs. Vivian J. Waier, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105, in lieu of flowers.
