William M. Savage

William M. Savage, Jr. (Bill), passed away peacefully at home in Buford, Georgia on January 16, 2023.

Bill was born on March 4, 1943, to his late parents, W.M. Savage and Mary Irene Milligan.  Bill graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  After graduation, Bill joined the United States Air Force.  During his time in the Air Force, Bill was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi where he installed radar and other electrical equipment in air traffic control towers.
After returning home, he worked in construction with his dad.  Bill would work in construction until his retirement.  During this time, he helped build many homes in Gwinnett as well as Brookwood High School and other commercial buildings.  

Bill married Joyce A Conner and went on to have one son, Michael Savage.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dancing.  He attended the Arthur Murray School of Dance and entered many competitions for Ball Room dancing.

Bill was predeceased by his parents, his sister Peggy Savage, his brother Kenneth Savage, and his sister Brenda Savage-Miller.  He is survived by his son Michael, his sister Linda Collins, his sister Phyllis Turner and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life on January 28, 2023, from 12 pm to 2 pm at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, Georgia.
