Dorothy “Dot” Mullinax Moon

Dorothy “Dot” Mullinax Moon, age 91, of Dawsonville, GA passed away on January 24, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Emory D. Moon; daughter Janice Dodd Moon; parents, Leonard and Faye Pruitt Mullinax; 6 brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her children, Darryl Moon, Opp, AL, Pamela Hart, Dawsonville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Shelly (Bob) Mayfield, Dahlonega, GA, Anna Moon, Opp, AL, Jennifer (Nathan) Vaught, Dawsonville, GA, Casey Hart, Dahlonega, GA, Robert T. (Britney) Hart, Buford, GA, Windy Purcell, Lawrenceville, GA; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Betty Jackson, Canton, GA, Lula (Dickie) Holder, Cumming; host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Moon was born on June 29, 1931 in Alpharetta, GA.  She received her education in North Fulton County and was retired from Coats Clark after 25 years of service as a mail clerk.  She was a member of Cousins Way Baptist Church, Tucker, GA.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA with Rev. Jerry McCormick officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, GA (Dekalb County).  A Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday January 29, 2023 at Flanigan Funeral Home.
