James (Jim) Richard Hancock

Mr. James (Jim) Richard Hancock, 65, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, GA. 

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Reverend Ricky Stone will officiate. A small visitation with family and friends will be held at the funeral home before the services on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

Born on April 27, 1957 in Marietta, GA, he was the son of the late Charles and Martha Hancock. He was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Bob Hancock and Jack Hancock; his sister Caroline Godwin; and his granddaughter Charlie Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Kathy Hancock of Gainesville, GA; sister, Mary (David) Gibson of Crossville, TN; brother, Bill Hancock; son, Chuck (Jodi) Croy of Gainesville, GA; son, Gary (Samantha) Croy of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Stacy (Delmar) King of Pendergrass, GA; daughter Lori Scott of Gainesville, GA; 12 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren; aunt, Helen Bell of Cumming, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
