Mary Jo Gaston

Mary Jo Gaston, age 77, passed away on Monday February 27, 2023, of complications and multiple “shower strokes” following a hip replacement surgery the previous week. Mary Jo was a mother of two, grandmother of six, an artist, and a realtor. She enjoyed talking to family, friends (and strangers), had a vivid imagination, and freely gave advice to all who listened. She is survived by brothers, Ray, Alvin, and Donnis, her Aunt Sue, younger son Jeff, grandchildren Mackenzie, Lindsay, Hannah Grace, Sarah, Alaina and Tripp (in birth order), and nieces Darla and Deanna. She is preceded in death by her first-born son, Edward, and her former husband Tommy, and siblings Sandra Moore and Jerry Brendle. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Gerry Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens.
