Mr. Michael A. Pruitt was born on November 7, 1964 to Robert M. Pruitt, of Cleveland, GA and Bessie C. Chapman Bush, of Gainesville, GA. He was raised in Gainesville and graduated from Gainesville High and joined the Navy shortly thereafter. Mike is a Navy veteran, were he performed his duties to the military on the USS Saratoga Aircraft Carrier, Mayport Base in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a radioman and worked with the US communications and intelligence personnel. He also served time with the Army reserve and worked as forklift operator on various jobs and ultimately became a skilled electrician during the later years his life. Mike leaves to cherish his loving memories to his devoted daughter Fransiscis “Bianca” Lipscomb Franklin and grandson Austin Franklin. Aunt Diane Waller and Gloria Sutton, Sisters April Bush Elzey, Patricia Pruitt, Janette Pruitt, Juliet Pruitt, Naomi Pruitt, Karis Pruitt and Danyél Pruitt Morrison. Brothers Robert and Cedric Pruitt and a host nieces and nephews.
The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 15th between the hours of 1pm-3pm at Historic St. John. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
