Elfrieda Dodd Phillips

Elfrieda Dodd Phillips, age 91 of Buford, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Elfrieda was born on April 2, 1932 in Banks County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eletha and Renzo Dodd, her brother Chester Dodd and sister Ongie Dodd Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter Ramona Phillips, son and daughter-in-law Russell Phillips, Jr. (Amy) and granddaughter Sydney Phillips.

She graduated from Baldwin School, Class of 1950. She attended West Georgia College and sang with the a cappella choir as well as other groups. She was a Charter Member of the Stonehedge Garden Club in 1970. She received awards throughout the years for her artistic flower arrangements. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Buford.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 25th at 2:00 pm in Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford, Georgia. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 until 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the charity of your choice.
