Hubert D. West, age 87, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Mr. West is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Barbara Annette Doss West of Buford; sons, Roger (June) West of Buford, Ricky West of Buford; grandchildren, Nolan West, Cortland (Josh) West Stetler, Colby West; great-grandson, River Stetler; sister, Katherine Britt of Russellville, AL; sisters-in-law, Linda (Billy) Cox of Stone Mountain, GA, Gail Davidson of Stone Mountain; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. West was born on July 14, 1935 in Russellville and received his education in Russellville.
He retired as a Heating and Air Installer with G. L. Davidson Company. Mr. West was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Buford. He loved old cars, going to car shows and watching old western movies. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Fowler and Pastor Brian Satterfield officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 29, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eagle Ranch, P.O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, GA 30502-0050, in memory of Hubert West.
