Winston King

Mr. Winston King, age 81, of Dawsonville, GA., passed away Monday, April 24, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Florence Wilson King; sister, Susie King Rogers; son, Marcus king; sister-in-law, Doris King; brother-in-law, Willard Rogers.  Mr. King is survived by his son, Phillip (Angie) King of Dawsonville, GA.; former wife, Sue Wiley King of Dawsonville, GA.; grandchildren, Melanie (Tyler) Goode of Dawsonville, GA., Tony (Danielle) King of Dawsonville, GA.; great-grandchildren, Brynleigh Goode, Bryce Goode, Camden King, and Ava King, all of Dawsonville, GA.; brother, Jimmy King of Buford, GA.; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mr. King was born March 1, 1942 in Marble, N.C.  He received has education in Marble N.C.  Mr. King was self-employed in the Logging Industry and a member of Island Ford Baptist Church in Buford, GA.  He enjoyed fishing and loved the Atlanta Braves. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Island Ford Baptist church, 850 Island Ford Rd., Buford, GA. with the Rev. Tyler Goode officiating.  Interment will follow at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery.
