Larry Harper

Larry Harper was born June 19, 1959 to the late Leroy Harper and Alma Harper. He was called home to be with the Lord on April 24, 2023.  Larry joined St. John Baptish Church as a youth and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Prior to retirement, Larry was a dedicated employee of Piedmont Laboratory for over 26 years where he was commended for his knowledge and service.

Larry had a quiet spirit and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his five children and his two great grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing and often spoke of fishing with his dad when he was younger. Larry enjoyed sports and going to football games. More often than not, Larry enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed relaxing and eating with his family and friends, and he was very passionate about playing the Lottery.

He is survived by his beloved Mother, Alma Harper and his five children; Keyanda Harrison, Kelia Harrison, Keaton Harrison, Jacquline Harper, Kimberly Harper. Also, his siblings; Jacqueline (Gregory) Young, Charlene Harper, Randall (Cassandra) Harper; nephews, Brandon Young and Matthew Harper, nieces, Elana Harper and Jessica Young; two great grandchildren and a host of special relatives and dear friends.

The Visitation for Mr. Harper will be held Thursday, April 27th at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 12-8pm. The Celebration of Life will be held Friday, April 28th at St. John Baptist Church at the hour of 1pm. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
