Frances Vandiviere

Frances Vandiviere, 82, of Dawsonville passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born December 10, 1940 in Lumpkin County to the late Arvel and Lydia Foster, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.  A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at Dawson County Bank and was activity director at Gold City Nursing Home.  Frances was very devoted to taking care of others and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Frances Vandiviere; brother, Jimmy Foster; and brother in law, Hayne Tatum.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, John A. “Johnny” Vandiviere, Dawsonville; sister, Lois Tatum, Dawsonville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home.  Rev. Leonard W. Ridings will officiate.  Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 at the funeral home.
