Kris M. Utes, age 30, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Utes, and grandparents, Chuck and Karen Utes. Mr. Utes is survived by mother, Kara L. Shonkwiler of Flowery Branch, GA; step-father, Glen Shonkwiler of Flowery Branch; step-sister, Amanda (Westley) Webb of Polk City, FL; uncles, Bob (Patty) Utes of Jefferson, GA, Bruce Treffinger of Cumming, GA, Gregg Treffinger of Muncie, IN; cousins, Dustin Utes of Fouser, GA and Erik Treffinger of Cumming; step-grandfather, Ron Shenk; step-nieces and nephews, Atlas, Tarys, and Ellis. Kris was born on March 18, 1993 in Lawrenceville, GA. He was a 2011 graduate of Buford High School and attended Gwinnett Tech in Lawrenceville, GA. He was employed as a Service Advisor with Honesty 1 Auto Repair in Suwanee, GA. Kris was an avid car enthusiast. No formal service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Kristoffer M. Utes.
