Florence Avalon Dalrymple

(April 15, 1938-June 5, 2023)

Avalon was born to the late Travis Lee, and Rosa Bell Hamrick. She was preceded in death by her siblings Margie Hamrick Rothrock Graefenecker, Travis Lee Hamrick Jr and Jack Russell Hamrick. In her life, she was known for being an award-winning majorette, and exemplary hostess. Her love for entertaining was appropriate due to her excellent taste in design and an ability to cook anything one desired! Her circle of friends was wide and encompassed many- who she ensured felt her love and compassion. Family time was precious and always filled with hugs, laughter and song, her smile was infectious. Her brother Wendell Rubin Hamrick, Her two daughters Trixy Bowen Paloger and DeDee Conneff. Her grandchildren: Christiaan Schrimpf, Maddie Rose Paloger, Avalon Paloger, Brandy Snell, Elizabeth Fairbanks, and Caitlin Conneff. Great grandchildren Hudson, Harrison (Brandy and Steven) Charlotte, Lincoln (Elizabeth and Alex).

She had a particularly close relationship with her niece Theresa Hamrick Wyrick and her children Joshua, Justin and Olivia.

Several nieces, nephews as well as those friends she considered family that shared many wonderful memories.

A celebration of life will be held at the Valhalla golf club and resort in Helen Georgia on Saturday, June 10 from 5 PM to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a memorial donation to the Charles Smithgall humane society in Cleveland, Georgia.
